John George Sauter Gyory, age 19, passed away on December 3, 2025, in Licking, Missouri. John was born in Vancouver, Washington to George and Cecilia Gyory on September 30, 2006.
John was a 2025 Licking High School graduate. He was a member of the Archery, Science, and Astronomy Club in high school, which brought him great joy. He loved playing the saxophone, fishing, camping, computers, and Magic the Gathering game.
John was proudly employed with South Central Correctional Center as a Corrections Officer.
He was a devout Christian and member of the Licking Assembly of God Church where he helped with the youth services. He also assisted the church with the children’s ministry sound booth.
John is preceded in death by his sister, Heather Leahy; and Grandma Laura Deathridge.
John is survived by his parents, George and Cecilia Gyory; siblings, Marcus Leahy, Kristina Leahy, Kenneth Anthony, and Albert Gyory; grandparents, Michael Leahy, and Polly Thomas Kalman Gyory; aunts and uncles, Karoly and Colleen Gyory, Russ and Valerie Gyory, David Gyory, Clare Gilmore and Mike Grace, Cathy Zarate and Pancho, and Mike Gilmore; nieces, Cecilia Leahy, and Ke’chara Leahy; nephews, J’sai Leahy, and Jasper Leahy; as well as numerous great uncles, aunts, and cousins.
