Joyce Lootens, 74 years and 15 days old, passed away on February 18, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.
Joyce was born February 3, 1949 in Rome, Missouri to Ersel and Ellen (Wilson) Prine. On November 16, 1968, Joyce and Anthony were united in marriage at Rock Island, IL and to this union two children were born.
Joyce was a registered nurse and worked for Oscar Mayer for 17 years. After she moved to Macomb, she worked as a nurse at several local nursing homes.
Joyce enjoyed bird watching and taking care of her cows. She loved spending time with her family. She liked puzzles, board games and playing games on her tablet.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anthony; two sisters, Opal Johnson and Sally Hall; and three brothers, Daniel Prine, Basil Prine and Jerry Prine.
She is survived by her two children, Wesley Lootens and friend Michelle of Brushyknob, MO, Teralea Crawford and husband David of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren; four sisters, Beulah Essary, Alma Tillberg, Lois Woods, and Faye Chapman and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Joyce will be Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to service time. Officiating will be Johnathan Crawford. Memorials can be made to the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
