Funeral Services for Junior L. “Yogi” Ratterree will be held on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026 at The Elliot-Gentry Carder Funeral Home, Cabool, Missouri beginning at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held in the hour prior beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in The Cabool Cemetery, Cabool, Missouri.
Junior “Yogi” Lee Ratterree, age 84, of Cabool, Missouri, passed away on January 8, 2026. He was born on April 20, 1941 in Cabool, MO the son of Levi and. Doris (Loughridge) Ratterree.
Junior was a lifelong resident of Cabool and a man deeply rooted in his faith, his family, and his community. He found strength and comfort in the Lord and lived his life with a quiet resilience shaped by hard work and perseverance.
He spent many years as a truck driver, a vocation he truly loved. It was on the open road that he earned the nickname “Yogi,” a name that followed him with affection and respect throughout his life. Driving trucks wasn’t just a job for Junior—it was part of who he was.
Above all else, Junior cherished his family. He enjoyed time spent with those he loved and took pride in staying connected to his roots in Cabool.
Junior is survived by his wife, Jean Ratterree, from whom he was separated; one daughter from a previous marriage, Charlene Fredell; one living brother, Terry Ratterree; his nieces, Sherry Daminski (Ed) and Berna Petry (Bill) and his nephews, Dustin Ratterree and Craig Ratterree. He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Doris Ratterree; his brothers, Donald Ratterree, Sr. and Thomas Ratterree and his nephew, Donald Ratterree, Jr.
Those who knew Junior will remember him as a hardworking man with a steady spirit, a love for the road, and a heart that always remained tied to family and faith. We take comfort in knowing that he has been welcomed home by his Heavenly Father, where there is no more pain, only peace.
