Kenneth Lee Sanders was born on September 1, 1947, to Walter and Gladys (Younger) Sanders. Kenny passed away on September 7, 2020, with Jason by his side at the age of 73. He was next to the youngest of seven children.
Of his six siblings, he is survived by Clinton and Denny. He also leaves behind two daughters, Linda and Shelley and their husbands; one step-daughter, Linda Piburn and husband; grandson, Jason Davis, and his wife; as well a multitude of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kenny loved life and family. His family was always entertained by the tales he would tell of his truck driving days and his prowess on horseback. He was never at a loss for a story to tell. He was especially passionate about trail riding with his brothers, nephews, and others who joined them. Innumerable laughs were experienced, and memories to last a lifetime were made.
Kenny always looked forward to Labor Day weekend and the annual Sanders reunion. This was where he could shine doing the two things at which he excelled–talking and eating. His soft chuckle when someone would question his stories is one that will not soon be forgotten.
His soft-hearted, good nature will be severely missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri with Bro. Darrell Jones officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Birch Tree, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
