Lorene Stanley Gobble

Funeral services for Lorene Stanley Gobble, Age 84 of Licking, Missouri will be held on at 11:00 AM at The First Baptist Church, Licking, Missouri. Visitation will take place on Monday, August 11th at The Fox Funeral Home, Licking, Missouri from 6-8 PM. Burial will take place on Tuesday, August 12th at 12:15 PM in the Boone Creek Cemetery, Licking Missouri.

Lorene Stanley Gobble was born on April 5, 1941, to Arthur and Genevieve (Wilcoxon) Pursifull. She passed away on July 31, 2025, at Hickory Manor in Licking, MO. Lorene is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn Stanley; second husband, Richard Gobble; and brother-in-law, Ray Grose. She is survived by her three daughters, Debbie (Danny) Wade, Lisa (Steve) Adey, and Gina (Tim) Umfleet; one sister, Lavone Grose; and one brother, Lynn (Dot) Pursifull. Grandchildren: Jennifer (Joe) Nelson, Johnna (John) Cook, Tyler Adey (Charlee Sue), Sydney Orion Gunter Diaz (Jack), Ashlee, Noah, and Nathan Umfleet. Grand Grandchildren: Brently Morris, and Atlee and Sawyer Nelson. Lorene was a member of the First Baptist Church of Licking, MO. She was active in the Women on Missions group holding various positions over the years. She served as Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years as well as sang in the choir, as well as helping anywhere she was needed. Lorene was a charter member of the Progress Club and served in various positions also. She always enjoyed the meetings and helping and participating in various community events. She worked for Ford Motor Company as a bookkeeper for several years before becoming a full-time homemaker and helping in the grocery store with Glenn when needed. Lorene loved her family and was always there when we needed her. She loved attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s various activities. She enjoyed the family reunions and seeing all of her family and her church and club activities. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “Women on Missions” through the First Baptist Church of Licking or Boone Creek Cemetery, in loving memory of Lorene.
