Lucille Trullinger, a native of Willow Springs, passed away at Mountain View Healthcare Tuesday, November 22, 2022. She was born October 21, 1925, to Lawrence and Cora (Earls) Collins in Willow Springs and was 97 years old.
Lucille attended school to 8th grade. Later she found work as an airplane machinist during World War II. However, she was primarily a homemaker, loving wife, and parent. Lucille and her sisters enjoyed singing on the radio as “The Collins Sisters” often opening for Porter Waggoner. In 1947, she married Eugene Wood and later in 1953 married Ed Trullinger. She proudly completed her GED in Willow Springs in 2001. Lucille enjoyed quilting and gardening in her free time. However, she especially loved being with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Cora; her husband, Ed; her daughters, Diana Trullinger and Charla Renfrow; and her siblings, Jesse, Lawrence, Louise, and Nina.
She is survived by her children, Norman and Shirley Wood, John and Karen Trullinger; her son in law, Ed Renfrow; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service for Lucille will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Burnham Cemetery in Burnham, with Pastor David Bradford presiding.
