Funeral services for Mary Yvonne Cagle, Age 79 of Thayer, Missouri will be 1pm Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Dwain Galiher officiating, and burial following in the Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, AR. Visitation will be 12pm-1pm prior to the funeral.
Mary Yvonne Cagle, was born the daughter of James Cecil and Mary Emma Hurtt on February 15, 1946, at Thayer, MO, and departed this life September 19, 2025, at her home in Thayer, MO.
She was united in marriage December 25, 1964, at Thayer, MO, to Jerry Thomas Grooms and she was united in marriage to Lonnie Paul Cagle who preceded her in death on August 19, 2023.
She is survived by: her son, Stanley Grooms (Sarah) of Batesville, AR, grandchildren Hannah, Garrett, Chase, Becca, Blake, Danielle, Noah, and Reed, her daughter, Geri Benfield (Kevin) of Thayer, MO, grandchildren Aaron & Kristi Benfield, and Ben & Brandi Benfield, great-grandchildren Laikyn, Tanner, Aiden, and Avi; step-children, Lonnie Paul, Rhonda, Tommy, Jimmy, Jana; as well as an extended bonus family; her sister, Sylvia Childers; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hurtt; and a loving host of nieces and nephews.
Yvonne is preceded by: her parents; a husband, Lonnie Cagle; 1 brother, JW Hurtt; brother-in-law, JD Childers.
Yvonne loved her Lord and Savior. She dedicated her life to serving Christ as well as everyone around her. Yvonne was so proud of her family, and she opened her home and heart to many children throughout her life. She loved collecting a lot of different things. She loved singing and playing the piano to the Lord. She loved her church and church family, as well as all of those she got to be in service with. She loved being Pastors of Greentown Lighthouse Church. While she will be greatly missed, she is in heaven with her heavenly Father. It’s not goodbye, it’s ‘til we see you again.
