Maxine Rattereee

Funeral Services for Maxine Ratterree, Age 94 of Mountain Grove, Missouri will take place on Saturday, December 20th, 2025 at The Craig Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove, Missouri. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 19th, 2025 at The Funeral Home from 5-7 PM. Burial will be in The Hopewell Cemetery, Graff, Missouri.

Bonnie “Maxine” Ratterree, daughter of the late Roy and Elsie (Lathrom) Oliphant, was born September 16, 1931, in Manes, Missouri. She went to her home in Heaven on December 16, 2025, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, at the age of 94.

Maxine grew up in Manes community and attended Perkins school. She was united in marriage to Donald Caleb Ratterree on April 12, 1952, in Graff, Missouri. Five children were born to this union. They lived in Wichita, Kansas, for a period of time while Don worked for Beechcraft. They later moved back to the Mountain Grove area where they purchased a farm and began a dairy operation.

Maxine was a devoted wife and mother, always caring for her family. She enjoyed quilting and embroidering and made each of the grandchildren a blanket. She loved flowers and collecting shiny rocks. She always enjoyed the beautiful colors of the leaves in the fall.

Maxine was saved and baptized at a young age. She was a devoted minister’s wife for many years. She enjoyed serving in the Lord’s work alongside her husband, Don. Their ministry reached many souls over the years.

Besides her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Don Ratterree; one son, Terry Dean Ratterree; twin granddaughters, Brooke and Destine Bunts; granddaughter, Larrisa (Walker) Saladin; two infant brothers, Jackie and Bobby Oliphant; and brother, Lee Oliphant.

Maxine is survived by three sons, Lynn Ratterree, Larry Ratterree and wife, Shelly, and Rick Ratterree and wife, Annette; one daughter, Regina Walker and husband Ben; one sister, Brexine Ratterree and husband, John; eleven grandchildren, Carl Ratterree, Sandy Akers, Britnie Dugger, Robert Finch Jr., Heather Sutton, Kyle Ratterree, Ryan Ratterree, Brandon Ratterree, Kayla Burton, Dustin Walker, and Ashley Walker; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
