She met Tom while she was a waitress in Kansas when he was home on leave from the Navy. Then on November 20, 1954  Jo and Thomas Joseph Weyrauch Sr., were united in marriage in Los Angeles, California. Together they raised three sons, Harry “Jim” Smart, Thomas Weyrauch Jr., and Robert “Bob” Weyrauch. They lived in Kansas, California, and Mississippi before settling in Missouri. She received her GED in 1966 at the age of 32. That was an accomplishment she was very proud of. In 1970 she started working at the Rawlings Sporting Goods plant in Ava and retired in 1999.

She took the role of Grandmother seriously and helped raise five grandchildren! Jo enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and conversation in the kitchen with her coffee. Her greatest joy was her family!

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom of 62 years before he passed in 2017, three siblings, Jerry, Nita, and Jean, brother-in-law, John, two sisters-in-law, Winnie and Jackie, and two daughters-in-law, Valerie and Tammy.

She is survived by her sons, Jim, Thomas and Bob, 12 grandchildren; Jimmy, Jody, Jennifer, Ruby, Trish, Tammy, Amy, David, Rebecca, John, Willie and Erik; 21 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson, Jaxon and one-on-the-way, a brother, Jimmie “Bud” & Ruby Jo Corder and a sister, Janice McKail, brother-in-law, Jesse Weyrauch, and many other relatives and a host of friends.
