Randall John Schaffer, of Willow Springs, Missouri, died at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the age of 80. He was born in Rockford, Illinois, on July 31, 1942, to Wilbert and Gertrude Schaffer.
On July 27, 1968, he was married to Bonnie Lynne Metroff in Peoria, Illinois, and to this union, two sons and a daughter were born. Mr. Schaffer worked at Walmart in West Plains before his retirement. Since then, he enjoyed gardening, working outside, and country living.
Survivors include his two sons, Bryon L. Schaffer and wife, Trish of Willow Springs, MO, and Steve J. Schaffer of Waynesville, MO; one daughter, Jeannie C. Thompson and husband, Robert of Willow Springs, MO; two grandsons, Bryon M. Schaffer and Mykul J. Moffis of Willow Springs, MO; two granddaughters, Chanda L. Schaffer of Colorado Springs, CO, and Cora L. Moffis of Willow Springs, MO; two step-granddaughters, Jessica L. Green of Republic, MO and Breanna A. Zahner of Van Buren, MO; sister-in-law, Betty L. Robinson and husband, Bill of Pekin, IL; brother-in-law, Kenny Gerber of Peoria, IL; and many cousins and friends.
Mr. Schaffer was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and his wife.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri, with Dennis Walton officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View.
