Retha Joan Wilson Pond, 84 years, 7 months, and 9 days old, passed away on January 16, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.
Joan was born June 7, 1937 in Taney County, MO to Ted and Beulah (Silvey) Pellham.
On May 1, 1959 Joan and Troy Quentin Wilson were united in marriage in Ozark County and were blessed with a daughter, Robin. Troy preceded in death in 1999.
On December 4, 2004, Joan and Charles Pond were united in marriage at Longrun. He also preceded in death in 2021.
Joan was a beautician and had worked in Ava and in Longrun at her own Beauty Shop. She was a member of the Longrun General Baptist Church. She grew up in the area and was saved at a young age. Joan enjoyed gardening, sewing, making crafts and playing the piano at church. She was always on the go and loved visiting people.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Troy and Charles, her brothers, Lloyd and Ovid Pellham, her sisters, Ethel Jones and Edna Jones.
She is survived by her daughter Robin Wilson and her companion, Jim Pearce, granddaughter, Lacey and husband, Shawn Mohr, two great grandchildren, Calvin Troy and Lincoln Michael Mohr, one sister and husband, Sharon & John Turner, two brothers and their wives, Keith & Mildred Pellham and Garlin & Joyce Pellham, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Joan will be Friday, January 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Longrun Cemetery, Longrun, MO. Officiating will be Rev. Doyle Turner. Memorials may be made to Longrun Cemetery.
