Robert James Stauffer, Jr.

Robert James Stauffer, Jr. was born in Canton, Ohio on March 30, 1941, to Robert and Lucille (Minier) Stauffer. He departed this life on April 8, 2021, at the age of 80. Robert was united in marriage to Linda R. Yancy on December 24, 1961, in New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four children, Terrance Stauffer, James Stauffer, Forrest Stauffer, and Micheal Stauffer; two sisters, Bonnie Landreth and Partica Stauffer; and one grandchild, Steven Ahumada.

Robert is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; two daughters, Tammy Ahumada and Jennifer Neitzel; two sisters, Donna Rahn and Linda Hardy; one brother, Donald Stauffer; eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He graduated from Casa Grande Union High School. After that Robert went on to serve in the United States Army for two years followed by the United States Air Force for four years. Until retirement, he was a mechanic for Caterpillar.

Robert was a member of the Christian Church. He loved his family and special friends, Callie, Buster, and Christy Singleton of Linden, Texas. He enjoyed fishing, driving his motor home, camping, find a grave, geo-catching, mowing the yard (sometimes twice a day), and woodworking.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Birch Tree, Missouri with Jeff Brake officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Birch Tree, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
