Roberta Louise Wodinowich of Couch, Missouri passed away on May 4th, 2025, at the age of 79. Her final moments were spent peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Roberta was born in Huntington, West Virginia on October 27th, 1945, to John and Vesta Hensley. She was united in marriage on October 25th, 1977, to Richard Wodinowich.
Roberta dedicated her life to being a loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother. She was well known for her exceptional cooking, baking, and love of gardening. She had a special touch with flowers and took great joy in nurturing both her garden and the people around her. A second mom to many, Roberta opened her heart and home to all the neighborhood kids, feeding them homecooked meals and making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Known for her warmth and kindness, Roberta never met a stranger—she was a kind friend to all who knew her.
Roberta is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Richard Wodinowich of Couch, MO; 7 children, Karen Sebold (Jim) of Abbotsford, WI, June (Mike) Olson of Abbotsford, WI, Lisa (Brian) Wetteland of Batesville, AR, Richard Wodinowich (Trinity) of Marshfield, WI, Dennis (Jessie) Wodinowich of Thayer, MO, Jennifer (Nick) Candice of St. Louis, MO, Jonathon Wodinowich (Terry) of Appleton, WI, 19 grandchildren, Nick Sebold, Megan (Johnny) Eloranta, Cody and Nathan Olson, Mallory (Chad) Hall, Matthew (Lacy) Reves, Andrew Wetteland, Kally, Elizabeth, Grace, Carson, Lillie, and Braxton Wodinowich, Trintin, Chasity, and Alaina Wodinowich, Ava, Nora, and Owen Candice; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Sandra Carter of Huntington, WV, Brenda Kay Adams of Ashland, KY, Harold “Billy” Hensley of Hubert, NC, and Larry Michael Hensley of Lima, OH; and her special fur babies, Opie and Maggie.
Roberta is preceded in death by her parents, John and Vesta Hensley; 9 siblings, John Hensley, Rodger Henlsey, Jerry Hensley, Pete Hensley, Gary Hensley, Bernard Hensley, Norma Jean Brunty, Helen Meyer, Myrtle Gothard and daughter, Sandra Jo.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 8th from 5pm to 7pm at Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO.
