Ronnie Kilburn

Ronnie Waine Kilburn, 75 years, 1 month, 8 days old, passed away on April 28, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, with family by his side.
Ronnie was born March 20, 1951, in Springfield, Missouri, to Elmer and Anna (Ridenour) Kilburn.
He graduated from Ava High School. Later he enlisted with the U.S. Air Force and was a Veteran having served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1973. He was a firefighter on the Air Force base. He served honorably.
Ronnie retired from working in construction. He had also worked in the area doing cleaning services for various customers in the Ava community. Ronnie did other jobs and was good at all of them.
He was a Christian and attended church regularly when he could. Ronnie lived at Redbud, and he always looked forward to seeing his walking buddies everyday. In addition, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, and was entertained by the TV sitcom, The Big Bang Theory. He had the whole dvd set. Ronnie loved spending time with all his nieces, nephews, especially the great nieces, and nephews. He always had to give them a “Nutter Butter” bar! Ronnie will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight sisters; and two brothers.
Ronnie is survived by his siblings, twin brother, Donnie Kilburn of Omaha, Nebraska, Gene Kilburn of Hurley, Missouri, and Selma Ray of Springfield, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family and friends.
Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri. Burial of his cremains will be on a later in the Murray Cemetery all of this by Ronnie’s requests.
