Shirley Ann (Williams) Wood, born on October 6, 1941, at Syracuse, MO to the late Ralph and Mae (Brown) Williams. She departed this life on Monday, December 1, 2025, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Shirley is survived by her husband of the family home, Norman, of 57 years; 4 sons, Gary (Cindy) Barton, Troy (Cheri) Barton, Larry (Angie) Barton, and Norman (Terri) Wood. 18 grandchildren, Jennifer (Jerry) Pfister, Jessica (Joe) Banning, Brandon (Erin) Barton, Jeremy Barton, Brandon (Brittany) Barton, Ryan (Elizabeth) Moore, Ashley (Ethan) Hafner, Todd (Amanda) Wood, Taylor Barton, Sarah Barton, Jacob Wood, Kevin Monds, Kyler Monds, Kasen Monds, Levi (Tiffany) Cox, Braden Cox, Mason Cox, and Julie Hicks. Special grandchildren, Neal, Courtney, Caylea Foster, Chastity Corbin, along with 33 great grandchildren and all the kids at Restore the Joy. Shirley was known as grandma to so many that often you would hear her say, “just call me grandma.” Shirley is also survived by 2 brothers in-law, Hulon Waddell and John (Karen) Trullinger, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and special cousin, Kathy Foster.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mae; her father and mother in-law, Eddie & Lucille Trullinger; her daughter, Bambi Moore; grandson, Chad Moore; three sisters, LaNora Gee, Hazel Dove, Jeannie Waddell; one brother, Donald Williams; 3 sisters-in-law, Charla Wrenfrow, Diana Trullinger, and Beebe Williams.
Shirley loved being around all of her family and friends. One of her favorite things to do was host family reunions. Shirley especially loved holidays because she knew her home would be full of family and friends with plenty of love to go around. Shirley loved to paint quilts, making hundreds throughout her life. She was always working with material. The family would like to thank Samantha Murrillo and Cheyann Fenton for their loving care as well as all the hospice staff. Your dedication and caring meant so much to the family and meant so much to Shirley.
A visitation for Shirley will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Willow Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Burnham Cemetery with Pastor David Bradford officiating.
