Stacey Arlene Barnard was born November 10, 1970, in Hinsdale, Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew John and Grace (Johnson) Barranco. She departed from this life at her home in Mansfield, Missouri, on April 29, 2026 at the age of 55 years, 5 months and 19 days.
She met the love of her life, Scott Barnard, and was united in marriage to him on November 1, 1997, in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
Stacey had a great love for her family and, without hesitation, would do anything for them! Spending time with her father by watching birds together was one of the many loving ways she enjoyed honoring him. As a single mom, she raised her daughter on her own, without accepting any handouts. Often, she would be seen playing cards and trivia games with her sister-in-law. In all these ways, she honored her loved ones and kept their connections strong.
Mrs. Barnard was an amazing woman! When she resided in Wisconsin, she helped many others in her community by unselfishly volunteering at the local food bank. To those who knew her, she was fun, energetic, lovingly strong-willed, and direct. The world was a better place because of her presence and helpful spirit.
Reese’s peanut butter cups, Mexican food, nature, and listening to 80’s music were treasured elements of her life. She also had a passion for criminal investigation, crime scene investigation, and medieval type television shows. Experiencing some excitement in her life by going on exotic vacations to places like the Bahamas, Saint Kitts, and Greece are memories she truly adored.
Her mother, Grace (Johnson) Barranco, and sister, Tracey Barranco, preceded her in death.
Stacey is survived by her husband of 28 years, Scott Edward Barnard; father, Andrew John Barranco; daughters, Elizabeth Marie Quinn (J.D.) of Wheaton, Illinois, and Alexandra Trewin (Daniel) of Theinsville, Wisconsin; granddaughter, Emma Elizabeth Quinn of Wheaton, Illinois; numerous other family, extended family, friends, and her loving cat, MamaCat.
There will be a private service held for Stacey.
