Ursula Guckel Ruller was born on November 17, 1940, in Tornesch, Germany. She died in her home in Houston, MO on April 5, 2025.
Ursula graduated from Bennett High School in Buffalo, NY, and married Gary Ruller on July 11, 1959. Throughout the years she worked in banks, the Florida State Attorney’s Office, TCMH, and Rick Dixon Auction Service. She was the treasurer of Countryside Worship Church.
The passion of her life was cooking. She could go into any restaurant and re-create it perfectly at home. She specialized in international cuisine from Korean to Basque. Ursula was also a talented knitter and hardanger/cross-stitch embroiderer. She loved hummingbirds, flowers, and a glass of white wine.
Ursula leaves behind her children, Lisa (Rick Dixon), Lori Gelinas, and Jeff Ruller; sister, Lisa Best; grandchildren, Lydia Dixon, Josh Dixon and family, Tessa Dixon and family, and Tyler Gelinas and family; sisters-in-law, Linda Guckel, Janet Albrecht, and Dalene Randall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, no services are planned, and her ashes will be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico.
