Veronica Lynn Cooper

Veronica Lynn Cooper, 60, of Newport, Arkansas, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on July 25, 1965, in Sandwich, Illinois.

Veronica spent her working years as an assembler for Dickeys Clothing, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she was a creative soul who found peace and joy in reading, writing, and painting. These quiet passions reflected her thoughtful and expressive nature.

Above all else, Veronica loved her family deeply. She was a devoted and fiercely protective mother whose children were the center of her world. Her love was steadfast, her presence comforting, and her strength unwavering. Veronica believed in the Lord and carried her faith with her throughout her life, offering guidance and hope to those around her.

She is survived by her two sons, Jason Earl Sims and Benjamin Wade Cooper, both of Newport, Arkansas; her mother, Alice Weekly of Oxford, Arkansas; three brothers, Raymond D. Weekly, Jr. (Rebecca) of Maryville, Tennessee, Barry Grant Weekly of Asheville, North Carolina, and David William Auxier (Heather) of Cabot, Arkansas; and her sister, Monica S. Rush (Richard McGarvey) of Oxford, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her father.
