Vivian Arlene Yandell was born on July 30, 1936, in Hartshorn, Missouri, to Howard Bailey and Florence (Jordan) Bailey. She passed away on March 24, 2026, at Mountain View Health Care in Mountain View, Missouri, at the age of 89 years.
On May 26, 1956, Vivian was united in marriage to Jim Yandell. To their union, one daughter was born, Kim Briggs.
Vivian grew up in the Hartshorn and Summersville, Missouri area, and graduated from Summersville High School on May 10, 1956.
She was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America, having been a member since 1967.
Vivian enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time with her family and her cats.
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Bailey; her mother, Florence Hurt; her child, Kim Briggs; her brothers, Elmer Bailey and Larry Bailey; and her sister, Ruth Brown.
Vivian is survived by her grandchildren, Angela Briggs of Houston, Missouri, Matthew Briggs of Hartshorn, Missouri, James Briggs of Hartshorn, Missouri and Shane Briggs of Licking, Missouri; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lorene Vandivort and husband Dean of Houston, Missouri, Arlene Su and husband Kien of Tipton, Missouri, Jean Bailey of Nixa, Missouri, Virginia Wilbanks of Summersville, Missouri, and Marlene Gray and husband Gary of The Villages, Florida; her brother, Denver Bailey of Springfield, Missouri; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
