Reports say that the Arkansas Razorbacks have fired their head football coach Sam Pittman following a blowout loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday.
Arkansas started the season with two convincing wins and played Ole Miss close in week three before falling 41-35, they lost a heartbreaker to Memphis 32-31 two weeks ago and Saturday lost 56-13 to Notre Dame at home.

Pittman will be replaced by former Razorback Head Coach and current offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino on an Interim basis to finish the year. Pittman’s overall record at Arkansas was 32-34 but since he was over .500 since 2021 (29-27) the school must pay his $8.9 Million contract buyout.
