George Springer mashed a grand slam in the sixth inning as the Blue Jays beat the Cardinals 10-3 in Toronto. Springer helped break the game open with his bases-clearing moonshot in the sixth. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Alejandro Kirk also launched home runs in the victory. Tim Mayza got the win in relief for Toronto, which improved to 54-and-43. Jordan Hicks was tagged with the loss in relief for St. Louis, which fell to 51-and-47. Dylan Carlson homered and drove in two runs in the losing effort.
Angels 6, Royals 0
Shohei Ohtani hit his 21st home run of the season as the Angels blanked the Royals 6-0 in Kansas City. Ohtani launched a solo shot in the third inning and Max Stassi also homered in the victory. Jose Suarez collected his second win on the mound after tossing five-and-a-third scoreless innings. Los Angeles improved to 41-and-56. Angel Zerpa took the loss after giving up two runs, one earned, over four frames. Kansas City was held to just five hits as it dropped to 39-and-58.
