(Kansas City, MO) — The Royals’ offense continued to struggle to start the season. Kansas City fell to the Toronto Blue Jays 3-0 at Kauffman Stadium. Zack Greinke fell to oh-and-2 this season after allowing one earned run and striking out four through six innings of action. Jackie Bradley Jr. and Salvador Perez were the lone Kansas City batters to record a hit in the outing. The Royals have lost two straight and are now 1-and-5 this season. They will return to the diamond this afternoon to conclude the four-game series against Toronto.

(Kansas City, MO) — Kansas City manager Matt Quatraro missed yesterday’s game after testing positive for COVID-19. The skipper is in his first-year with the Royals after stints as an assistant coach with Tampa Bay and Cleveland. The team announced that bench coach Paul Hoover will serve as the interim manager until Quatraro is cleared to return. The Royals are currently last in the AL Central.
