Bobby Witt wins 2025 Lou Gehrig Memorial Award

Bobby Witt Jr. of the Kansas City Royals won the 2025 Lou Gehrig Memorial Award, honoring character and community impact. He’s the third Royal to earn it, joining George Brett and Salvador Perez, recognized for his leadership in the fight against ALS and youth outreach. Salvy was there, and George as well, and so was Sarah Nauser, a former KC police officer who worked security at home games; she has ALS and is still able to attend spring training. Having her there was special for Bobby when he was presented with his award
