Alec Burleson hit a two-run home run in the victory, while JJ Wetherholt laced a pair of doubles. Andre Pallante earned his third win after holding the Pirates to one run on five hits in six innings.
Reliever George Soriano held the Pirates off the board in the 8th and Riley O’Brien picked up his eighth save.

The Cardinals improved to 17-13. They send Hunter Dobbins to the mound when they go for the sweep over Pittsburgh today.
