Cardinals president John Mozeliak on deals made at trade deadline

The Cardinals sent away a pair of fan favorites at the trade deadline. The Cards traded starting pitcher Jack Flaherty to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for infield prospect Cesar Prieto and pitching prospects Drew Rom and Zack Showalter. Flaherty is 7-and-6 with a 4.43 ERA this season. St. Louis also sent shortstop Paul DeJong to Toronto in exchange for pitcher Matt Svanson. The former All-Star is hitting .233 with 13 home runs and 32 RBI this season.
