COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri softball senior catcher Julia Crenshaw was awarded 2025 NFCA First Team Midwest All-Region honors, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced Thursday.
For Crenshaw, the NFCA postseason honor is the first in her career at Mizzou.
The O’Fallon, Missouri, native, hit a team-high and career-best .361 over the campaign with 48 runs, 56 hits, 14 doubles (sixth in the SEC), 14 homers, 32 RBI, 37 walks (seventh in MU single-season history) and 26 stolen bases (fifth in the SEC) in 2025. Her .723 slugging percentage ranks ninth in Mizzou single-season history.
Crenshaw also had five leadoff home runs in 2025, which ranked tied for second in NCAA Division I.
The catcher caught a league-best nine runners stealing in 2025. She also led MU with 16 multi-hit games to go with eight multi-RBI games.
Crenshaw previously was named to the 2025 All-SEC First Team after she paced the Tigers during SEC play, batting .343 with 23 hits, 16 runs, five doubles, seven home runs (sixth in the SEC) and 12 RBI. She slugged .731 which ranked fourth in the SEC and topped the category for catchers.
Crenshaw also had an on-base percentage of .457 with 49 total bases (ninth in the SEC) during league action.
She notched a season-high three hits (3-for-3) with a home run and a walk in MU’s run-rule victory over No. 1 Texas A&M on April 18.
Crenshaw also had a career-high two home runs, three runs scored and season-high four RBI at Alabama on April 26.
Crenshaw finished her collegiate career with 191 games (180 starts), .272 batting average (.379 on-base percentage, .502 slugging percentage), 518 at bats, 110 runs, 141 hits, 36 doubles, 27 homers, 107 RBI and 24 stolen bases.
The NFCA announced Thursday 380 student-athletes from 146 programs have received 2025 NFCA Division I All-Region accolades.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association’s 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2025 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
The Southeastern Conference’s 76 selections led the way.
The 2025 NFCA Division I All-America teams, voted on by the NFCA DI All-American Committee, will be announced on Wednesday, May 28.
