st Quarter: Liberty wins the tip but will defer. Ball is caught by the Bobcats at the Thayer 41 yard line with a nice tackle by Kyle Roberts. Parker Tune and Kyle Roberts both making stops early as Bobcats seek to spread out a pull off a wide offensive play. Bobcats make it in the Eagles’ third yard-line looking for 4th-down territory. On the next, Liberty picks up a 1st & 10 as Reed Tune comes in. Parker Tune makes his first move on downs but runs in to his own man which brings up a 3rd & 3. Jaren Rutledge with the next play, a 26-yard carry. Eagles making big plays, but crumbling against the Bobcat defense.

After a quarterback sack and a false start, Eagles will play 3rd and long but the ball is picked off by Cordell Washington for The Bobcats. Bobcats however get themselves into a punt situation by the end of th First as both teams remain scoreless.

nd Quarter: As the Eagles get the Bobcat punt, Jaren Rutledge picks up 35 yards for the Eagles. And this helps him make it inside the zone for a 63-yard run, putting the Eagles up 6-0. After this, The Bobcats turn it over once more and it is both taken and caught by Sophomore, Wyatt Cox. Eagles get another chunk of yardage as The Bobcats get another penalty as this allows Jaren Rutledge to score again making the lead 14-0 with a good kick for the extra point by Parker Tune. Thayer Bobcats finally get a shot off next with a good return on the kickoff by Cordell Washington and extra open room. This allows Junior Thomas Poole to score on The Bobcats first Touchdown of the night, making it a 14-7 ballgame. Eagles continue to have luck getting yardage and get some close plays towards the end but stay at 14-7 to end the half.

rd Quarter: Bobcats have the football to start the second half. Eagles continue to do a good job holding them off but Bobcats still make it as far as Fourth-down territory. After several steal attempts by Parker Tune, Thomas Poole scores on another 45 yard run which brings the Bobcats within one point. On the next possession, Eagles are forced to do what they had caused the Bobcats to do early in the game as they turnover the football on downs. And this allots more time for a run by Cordell Washington which gives the Bobcats the lead, 21-14 with a good two point conversion. This is where the score remains at the end of 3.

th Quarter: Eagles continue to do what they have done most of the game, play good defensively but several plays throughout the entire game have been flagged. This is what later costs Parker Tune to lose yardage on a near fourth down. Bobcats end up holding onto the seven point lead, going to 3-0 and Eagles get their first loss and are now 2-1
