The West Plains Zizzers and Liberty Eagles played in the dirt yesterday at Zizzer ballpark. Eagles scored in the top of the first inning and the zizzers answered back in the bottom of the first with 6 runs, then things tightened up the eagles chipped away at the Zizzer lead but solid defense secured the Zizzer win 9-6. Zizzers mover to 2 & 2 Liberty falls to 2 & 3. Zizzers play at Willard today and the Eagles host Doniphan today.
JJ Weatherholt, the STL Cardinals top prospect, made the big league club and will be at Busch Stadium for Opening Day on Thursday when the Cardinals host the Tampa Bay Rays. JJ will be the starting second baseman and will bat either leadoff or second with Masyn Winn. Pregame Thursday is 1:35 and first pitch at 3:15 all on KUKU 100.3.
