The Kennett School District has finished its search for a new football coach with the hiring of Joel Wyatt. On Tuesday, Jan. 21, the Kennett School Board announced the employment of Wyatt as a High School Fitness teacher and High School Head Football coach. West Plains is without a head football coach. In his three seasons with the Zizzers, Wyatt was 23-13 and recently named the 2024 Southwest Missouri Coach of the Year.

The West Plains Middle School Lady Zizzer Basketball teams; Grades 5-8th will be recognized on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025 @ WPHS Gym. The Lady Zizzers will play host to Rogersville High School. Middle School athletes will be recognized between the JV and V games. Admission for the student athletes is FREE!
