The Class 5 district 6 baseball seedings is complete, Willard gets the one seed and will play eight seed Parkview in round one Wednesday at 11am West Plains got the four seed and will play five seed Bolivar in round one Wednesday at 130, Marshfield picked up the two seed and will play seven seed Hilcrest at 415 Wednesday Springfield Catholic got the three seed and will face six seed Springfield Central at 630 all games will be played at Central High School in Springfield.

MSU-WP announced the hiring of Toby Rens as the new head coach of the Grizzly Volleyball program. Rens’ first day on the job will be May 19. His hiring is pending approval by the MSU Board of Governors. Rens is an accomplished volleyball coach with more than 15 years of NCAA I head coaching experience. He has held head coaching positions at several universities, including Georgetown University, Maryland Eastern Shore, University of Pittsburgh and Long Island University. He has amassed 400-plus NCAA career wins, made nine trips to the NCAA Tournament and led his teams to 19 post-season appearances.
June 14th and 15th the Willow Springs Lions Club will host a two man scramble at the Willow Springs Thomas F. Benyo Municipal Golf Course. This tournament will feature tee times of 8:30 and 1:30 and will pay out four places in each flight, number of flights to be determined by number of entries.
