Golf Leagues at the Willow Springs Thomas F Benyo Municipal Golf Course are underway, Church Monday at 530pm, Cat & Dogs Tuesday at 530pm and Men’s League is played on Thursday 530pm everyone is welcome to play in the league’s nonmember will play an extra $5 dollars on top of the league fee.

The STL Cardinals wrapped up a series with the Diamondbacks yesterday with more here is your redbird recap.

 

Cardinals are off today but hit the road for a weekend series with the Mariners starting Friday with the pregame at 815pm and first pitch at 9pm all on News Talk Radio KWPM and KUKU 100.3.

Veteran Blaine Gabbert will join the Kansas City Chiefs as a backup to Patrick Mahomes at quarterback. The Chiefs lost Chad Henne, their longtime backup, when he retired immediately after their Super Bowl LVII win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The 33-year-old Gabbert has 48 career starts in 11 NFL seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans and, most recently, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He hasn’t started a game since 2018 with Tennessee. His career record is 13-35 and has 51 career touchdowns, 47 interceptions and a QBR of 30.5.

 

The Royals went winless through their six-game homestand.  Kansas City was swept for the second straight series after losing to the Texas Rangers 12-3 at Kauffman Stadium.
