The SCA Golf Meet was held yesterday at the Willow Springs Thomas F Benyo Municipal Golf course with all SCA schools taking part in this event. Ava, Cabool, Liberty, Houston, Mountain Grove, Thayer, Salem and Willow Springs. The Willow Springs Bears shot a 356 on a windy Tuesday afternoon to become the SCA team Champion for 2023. Ava came in second 10 strokes behind with a 366. Brady Altermatt was crowned the top player with a 81. And your first team all-conference in SCA golf Colton Stewart Houston, Mathew Miller Willow Springs, Brayden Loftin Ava, Drew Clevenhagen Ava, and your conference Medalist for 2023 Brady Altermatt Willow Springs. Next week the district tournament and State meet will start the week after that.
It’s that time of year again to apply for Missouri bear and elk permits. Apply during the month of May for only $10 each for a chance to draw a 2023 Missouri Resident Black Bear Hunting Permit and a 2023 Missouri Resident Antlered Elk Hunting Permit. Applications opened on May 1 online at Online-Sales | Missouri Department of Conservation. Results of the random drawings will be available by July 1.
