On Tuesday at Kauffman Stadium, the Royals presented their plans to build a new ballpark and surrounding entertainment district in the Crossroads District in downtown Kansas City. The Royals revealed their plans for a two-billion-dollar ballpark with a capacity of about 34 thousand. The new stadium is blocks away from the T-Mobile Center and the Power & Light District. The franchise hopes the stadium will be ready for the 2028 season. The final design is still under development, but the mock-ups show fountains will be part of the new park.
