The Alton school district is bringing back girls’ volleyball in the 2026/27 school year. JR high and Junior Varsity and the Lady Comets will be coached by Abby Sturgeon and Sydney Jenkins.

Adult softball season is right around the corner in West Plains. All adult softball team managers are invited to attend the upcoming Coaches Meeting, scheduled for Friday, April 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Jimmie Carroll Sports Complex. Lady Zizzer Soccer Camp June 8th to the 11th. @nd grade to 6th grade camp is 5pm to 630pm. 7th grade to 12th grade is 630 to 8pm. Cost is 30 dollars per player register now through the West Plains athletic department or sign up the day of the camp.
The Willow Springs YMCA and G&W Foods annual 2-Person Scramble golf tournament will be held on Saturday, April 25th at the Willow Springs Municipal Golf Course and will have a 10:00 a.m. start. Tournament benefits YMCA youth programs and scholarship fund. To register your team, stop by the Willow Springs YMCA at 405 W. Main St., or call 417-469-5101. The registration deadline is April 21st.
