The Missouri State West Plains Grizzlies were back in action this afternoon in St Louis, facing the Kaskaskia College Blue-Devils. They end up continuing on with a great winning streak after getting the win, 96-88 on the road versus Northeastern Oklahoma this past Wednesday.
1st Half: Tip one by The Kaskaskia Blue Devils but turned over and it will be Grizzly Basketball. Turned back over by Grizzlies and Kaskaskia will score first, a two by #5 Allen Myers. Ball will go back to the Grizzlies and a two by #24, Dassiah Green. Rebound blue Devils who will score again, by #2 Antwon Tillman.
Foul on the Grizzles and #$, Jerod Mackey shoots 1-2 at the line for The Kaskaskia Blue Devils. A Grizzly is too far in the line and this will give Mackey one more try. Kaskaskia leads 6-2.
Rebound by #4, Ace Evans who goes up. Falls short and a good three by Mackey. Kaskaskia has now upped the lead to 10-2.
Grizzlies also early with foul trouble in the ballgame.
A foul and finally chance at the line #20, Damani Barley after a foul on #32, Hayden Huels for the Blue-Devils. Barley will make 1-2.
Grizzlies playing a matchup defense now. Ball will be stolen back momentarily by #3, Blayn Harris for The Grizzlies. But taken back, second turnover of the ballgame for Kaskaskia.
Easy shot, the eighth point for Jerod Macke
Rebound by Ace Evans who puts the ball up and in making the score 12-5.
Tillman for Kaskaskia takes it back and now 14-5.
Mackey gets the next handoff and puts another up and in now 10 points in the game early for The Kaskaskia Blue Devils. A 16-7 Ballgame.
Allen Myers went to the line for Kaskaskia on the next Grizzly foul, making both free throws. Grizzlies trail 18-9 now.
Finally, rebound by Ace Evans who puts the ball up and in for two.
Grizzlies are midway through the game without a three point shot.
Mackey who goes to the line for The next Grizzly foul makes his twelvth point of the line, now 22-11.
Javon Barbee with the rebound and a jumper is good.
Finally, the first three pointer of the ballgame is good by #5, Shaun Glass. Hook pass up and good by #24, Dassiah Green. He tries for two but can’t get the putback.
Rebound by #4, Ace Evans who cuts the lead back down to four.
Ball back to Kaskaskia on a good defensive move by #12, Myles Lydell. A foul on The Grizzlies and #2, Tillman will shoot two free throws.
Back to an eight point game on a bounce pass back to Lydell.
Rebound Shaun Glass, tries for three but falls short and the ball will go back to Kaskaskia as they now lead by ten 28-18. Taken back and a baseline jumper by #24, Dassiah Green for the Grizzlies.
Another foul call sends #5, Allen Myers to the line for Kaskaskia. Both are good and the game continues to be held to ten.
Rebound but lost by the Grizzlies. Myers will score again on an easy baseline jumper.
#11, Makai Lindsey comes into the Game for the Grizzlies who scores a good three right off the edge of a Kaskaskia block. He completes the play at the line
#15 Javon Barbee goes to the line for a blocking foul on Myers. And now the Grizzlies have a chance to tie up the ballgame with a three pointer.
Deep into the post, Jerod Mackey goes up for the Blue Devils who scores as the lead is now 44-40. Mackey now has 15 points.
A foul call and #1, Tyrell Smith will go to the line for the Grizzlies. He makes 2-2. Now a 44-42, Kaskakia Blue Devil Ballgame
The next three by #5, Shaun Glass. Now down to a one point game, 46-45

2nd Half: Inbound pass to Ace Evans to start who gets the ball and puts it up and in. Some open passes from Barbee to Green and Barbee will make his seventeenth point on the night 57 sec in, now a seven point lead.
Inbound play for the Blue Devils caught by #5 Allen Myers and a blocking foul called on the Grizzlies. #3, Keyon Garrett Miller shoots two for the Grizzlies, he make 1-2.
A three pointer on the rebound for three by Ace Evans is good by The Grizzlies.
Long pass is around and again by Ace Evans, the ballgame now 48-37, Ace Evans makes the three point play. Rebound Kaskaskia, lost. And another three by Shaun Glass is good. A fifteen point Grizzly lead now. 54-37.
Bounce pass off Kaskaskia is good from Jerod Mackey to Myles Lydell is good.
Makai Lindsey follows up the next shot by Jerod Mackey and shoots the three point play at the line. 59-43 is now the score.
#24 Dassiah Green now has it and goes up and in on a left handed dunk, now 61-43 is the Grizzly lead.
Javon Barbee shoots on the next foul for the Grizzlies to even it up to a twenty point lead, falls short and it will be a nineteen point lead.
Grizzlies make another turnover but get it back as #5 Shaun Glass gets a trip to the line on the line for The Grizzlies, he makes both.
Bounce pass, shot up and good by #14, Gustav Blaudenfeldt. Rebound and the shot answered back by #2, Antwon Tillman.
Kaskakia continues on with some open shots. A good shot taken on the rebound from Tillman by #3, Garrett-Miller. Garrett-Miller with another shot after this, game is narrowed down to an eight point lead for The Grizzlies.
Grizzlies try to steal it back and now, narrowed to a six point game once again by Keon Garrett Miller for the Kaskaskia Blue Devils.
Rebound and a fade away three by #4, Ace Evans. 67-59 now the lead for The Grizzlies.
Fifteen point pull up shot good on the next Grizzly rebound by Shaun Glass. This all just as Kaskaskia nearly stole back the game all here in the Second Half.
Kaskaskia has a small run with under 5 minutes to play as Lydell and Smith make the next two jumpers.
#5, Shaun Glass makes his fifteenth point of the game before all is said and done as he has gotten made easy steals for the Grizzlies in the second half that could’ve hurt The Grizzlies earlier in the half.
Lydell and Mackey continue to lead a fairly fierce attack on the Grizzlies all before it’s finally stolen back by #4 Ace Evans for a three point play at the line, all three are good,
Next foul and two free throws are good by #15, Javon Barbee.
Kaskaskia has allowed Grizzlies to best them not only in their much much improved free throw show shooting but also wide open defensive pressure.
