Grizzly Volleyball adds hitter from Texas to 2020 roster

The Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball team has added an outside/right side hitter for the 2020 season.

Head Coach Paula Wiedemann announced today that Kennadi Harris, Little Elm, Texas, signed a national letter of intent to play for the Grizzlies beginning next fall.

“We are very excited about Kennadi becoming a part of our Grizzly Volleyball family,” Wiedemann said. “Kennadi is an explosive player who can make things happen. She has a great jump and a strong arm. She’s quick off the ground and is deceptively fast in getting to the ball.”

The 5-foot, 8-inch product from Little Elm High School in the Dallas/Fort Worth region earned first team District 8-5A honors in 2017 and a second team all-district selection in 2019.

Harris was named the DFW Player of the Week on Sept. 23, 2019. She had 25 kills, eight digs, four blocks and two aces in her team’s win over district opponent Brasswell.

She also was named to the 2019 Tyler Invitational All-Tournament Team, Little Elm High School’s MVP in 2019 and its offensive player of the year in 2017 and 2018.

“She loves playing the game fast and definitely uses that to her advantage,” the coach added. “We see her continuing to develop as an offensive player who can adjust to whatever is thrown at her and also as a six-rotation player with her quickness and defensive ability.”
