The New York Jets are trading quarterback Justin Fields to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a 2027 sixth round draft pick.
The Jets looked into trading Fields after they acquired quarterback Geno Smith last week. The Jets will also pay $7 million of Field’s $10 million salary for the 2026-27 season.

Fields could start for the Chiefs at the beginning of the upcoming season as Patrick Mahomes recovers from a knee injury. Mahomes tore his ACL and LCL this past December.
