After an insane, shocker, one point victory over the Bunker Eagles last night (Mon, February 9th, 2026), Liberty Eagles returned home to take on the (7-13) Cabool Bulldogs.
1st Quarter: Draydon Wells controls the tip for The Liberty who passes to Parker Tune for a wide open three as Liberty is on the board first. Cabool tries a possession and loses the ball out of bounds and is taken back by Carter Ellett for three more. Eagles take an early 6-0 lead now.
Eagles keep on running with it as yet another three is banked in by Alex Tune, 9-0 Liberty. Jordan Kentner will have the ball on the next possession for the Cabool Bulldogs as he goes to the line on a foul on Liberty. He makes 2-3 free throws.
Rebound Paxton Hunter for Liberty who passes to Carter Ellett. Ellett loses it but gets it back and puts the ball in for two.
Another foul and Josiah Leonard for Cabool shoots two free throws, making 1-2. Liberty still with the lead, 11-5 with under four minutes to go in the First.
Paxton Hunter is fouled and shoots two as Cabool picks up a reaching foul. Paxton makes both.
And another foul on the rebound with Parker Tune making two more free throws, now 15-5 Liberty with under three minutes remaining.
Another floater in by Paxton Hunter. Liberty continues to keep the ball up until Leonard for Cabool steals it back. Leonard gets off another shot, now 15-9. Rebound by Liberty and another three by Alex Tune.
Another three by Paxton as The Cabool Bulldogs try for another rebound. Leonard gets a steal but it’s taken back and a foul as Paxton Hunter goes back to the line for two.
2nd Quarter: A field goal by Jordan Kentner for The Cabool Bulldogs starts the second. Rebound by Blayne Altermatt who puts the ball in for two, Liberty; 24- Cabool: 12
A scoop shot as it fought for and put in by Carter Ellett who gets to go to the line to complete the three point play. Now; 27-14, Liberty with under six minutes to go in the half.
Parker Tune on the rebound with his fourth three of the night. Kenter takes it back for Cabool, dribbles but loses the ball again out of bounds and will go back to The Liberty Eagles as Cabool fouls and Parker Tune shoots wto more free throws.
Cabool loses the ball twice more as neither team scores again. Foul on Carter Ellett as Lucas Hong for Cabool puts up a floater and goes to the line.
Ketner with another rebound as a shot up for two. Rebound Paxton Hunter for Liberty with two with under two minutes to go.
Rebound and wide open pass to Lucas Hong for two right before the clock expires, Liberty with the lead 39-24 with 21.4 seconds to go,

3rd Quarter: Josiah Leonard scores the first two points for The Cabool Bulldogs in the second after a long three by Parker Tune.
On the rebound; Parker takes it back and another long three point shot. Ball is fought for on the next rebound and a foul is called on Gabe Smart for The Cabool Bulldogs as Paxton Hunter goes to the line for Liberty.
Paxton Hunter with the rebound and a putback. Taken back by Leonard who puts the ball in. Ball lost out of bounds by Alex Tune. Brief rebound by Cabool but taken back by Alex Tune who fouls Bennet Montgomery for The Cabool Bulldogs.
Easy put-in by Alex Tune on the next rebound, 52-26-Eagles.
A drive inside and shot by Parker Tune is good. Cabool takes it back as Leonard passes to Montgomery. Parker Tune takes it back and loses it again.
Leonard takes it back and finally gets off a floater inside the paint with 2:51 left to go in the third,
A three by Leonard as Liberty goes a bit cold in the remaining minute ½. A foul call on Leonard after trying to reach. Blayne Altermatt shoots two free throws for Liberty as they continue to lead 65-34.
Liberty takes the ball back on the rebound. A pass outside from Carter Ellett to Titus Jester back to Blayne Altermatt for another three.
4th Quarter: Liberty’s size continues to dominate Cabool as Titus Jester gets a three after Cabool loses it out of bounds. Rebound, Liberty as Paxton Hunter gets the ball up and in twice more.
Cabool fouls again as Graham Tune goes to the line, making two free throws.
Tune scores again on the floater as Cabool tries to take it back. 80-74, Liberty with about 3:30 to go in the ballgame.
A foul on Brian Thompson who tries to steal on the next Cabool possession. Lucas Hong tries on free throw. The 1-1 is no good as Brian Thomposon fouls the rebound and goes to the line, making 2-2 free throws.
By this point; both teams have cleared their benches.
