Mansfield and Ava Volleyball Communities Come Together for Scarlett Hall

In a powerful display of unity and support, the Mansfield and Ava volleyball communities came together last night in honor of 10-year-old Scarlett Hall.

Scarlett, a young Ava student who was seriously injured after being trapped underwater in a culvert earlier this summer, continues her recovery at a hospital in St. Louis. While she couldn’t be there in person, her presence was felt deeply throughout the gym, which was filled with a sea of purple her favorite color.

Among those in attendance were Scarlett’s father, Clint Hall, and her brother, Rolen. Clint, who previously worked in the Ava School District and now serves as Mansfield’s Superintendent, expressed how meaningful it was to see both schools united for his daughter.

“It’s incredibly special to see these two communities come together like this,” he said.

The night concluded with Ava sweeping the match in three sets (3-0), but the final score was secondary to the overwhelming show of love and support for Scarlett.
