Leo Rivas hit a two-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to give the Mariners a 4-2 win over the Cardinals in Seattle. Thomas Saggese went four-for-five with an RBI for St. Louis and Ivan Herrera hit his 15th home run of the season. Ryan Fernandez got the loss after surrendering the walk-off hit. The Cardinals have lost three consecutive games to fall to 72-and-75.
The Springfield Cardinals gave up 11 hits during a 5-3 loss to the San Antonio Missions at Hammons Field. Pete Hansen was charged with his fifth loss after surrendering three runs on eight hits in six innings.
Nolan Arenado and Brendan Donovan played for Springfield starting rehab assignments. Both went 0-for-3.
