Matt Carpenter Announces His Retirement

Former three-time All-Star and St. Louis Cardinals player Matt Carpenter has announced his retirement from Major League Baseball.  He made the announcement on a podcast “Get in the Game” Wednesday morning.  Carpenter 39, played 12 seasons in the majors mostly with St. Louis (2011-2021, 2024) he had a career batting average of .261, hit 159 homers, 308 doubles and 591 RBI.
