The Blue Jays kept their season alive with a 6-2 win in Game 6 of the 2025 American League Championship Series (ALCS) against the Mariners, forcing a decisive Game 7 back in Toronto.
Toronto took control early when Seattle committed two errors in the second inning, allowing the Jays to build a 2-0 lead.
Rookie pitcher Trey Yesavage struck out seven across 5⅔ innings and kept the Mariners off balance.
On offense, Addison Barger slashed a two-run homer and finished with three RBIs, while Vladimir Guerrero Jr. added a solo shot—his sixth home run of the postseason.
With the series now tied, Game 7 tonight will determine who advances to the World Series.
The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night 5-1 to punch their ticket to the World Series. The Dodgers swept the Brewers in the National League Championship Series to give them their second straight NL pennant.
Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani hit three home runs in Game 4 and also pitched six innings where gave up zero runs and had 10 strikeouts.
Ohtani became the first player in major league history to hit two home runs or more as a starting pitcher. He also hit more home runs himself than hits he allowed against the Brewers (2).
Game 1 of the World Series begins on Friday.
