The St. Louis Cardinals’ three-game series with the Chicago Cubs was postponed over the weekend because of the Cardinals’ ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
The Cardinals had two additional players and one staff member test positive for coronavirus late last week. The Cardinals announced Ryan Helsley and Austin Dean were the two players who tested positive.
The Cardinals have not played since July 29 due to their COVID-19 outbreak.
The Cardinals have played only five games this season, the fewest of any MLB team.
MLB makes it official and announces that the upcoming three-game series between the Cardinals and the Pirates, scheduled for Monday through Wednesday at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, has been postponed.
