NCAA Football: Alabama Crushes Ohio State For 6th National Title in 12 Years

The University of Alabama Crimson Tide crushed the Ohio State Buckeyes 52-24 in the NCAA Championship game in Miami, cruising to their sixth national championship in the last 12 years. 

The quarterback for Alabama and his top receiver, Mac Jones and DeVonta Smith, two of the four Heisman Trophy finalists, had huge games, with Jones passing for five touchdowns and nearly 500 yards, while Smith, who won the Heisman Trophy, caught 12 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns.

** Alabama (13-0) is national champion for the sixth time in the last 12 years under coach Nick Saban.

** For Saban, it was career title No. 7 overall, breaking a tie with Alabama great Paul “Bear” Bryant for the most by a major college coach.
