No. 21 Mizzou Volleyball Falls to No. 13 Texas A&M in Reed Arena
No. 21 Mizzou Volleyball (8-4) dropped its match to No. 13 Texas A&M (9-2), 3-1, on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Reed Arena.
The Tigers fall to 0-3 in ranked matchups, as they are now 3-3 in road games this season.
KEY PLAYERS

Senior Caylen Alexander led the Tigers in kills with 14 on a .211 hitting percentage.

Freshman Nina Mandovic recorded a team-high 17 assists in her second start as a Tiger

Senior Regan Haith and freshman Maca Lobaglio earned multi-block games with four and two blocks respectively.

Senior Maya Sands posted a game-high 20 digs.
FIRST SET (25-22, Texas A&M leads 1-0)
The Tigers fell down early, as the Aggies started the match on a 5-0 run, the Tigers fought back with a 4-0 run of their own to make it 5-4. Texas A&M carried the lead into the first break, leading 14-12.
The Aggies took the lead into a Missouri timeout, leading 21-15, the Tigers ultimately struck back with a scoring run of four-straight points, making the set 23-21.
Texas A&M went on to take the advantage after the first stanza, winning 25-22.
SECOND SET (25-17, Texas A&M leads 2-0)
The set began similarly to the previous one, with Texas A&M taking an early lead, 5-1, then extending it to 15-10 at the media timeout.
The Aggies rallied four-straight points to take a 19-10 lead before MU fought back with four-straight points of their own, highlighted by a Maca Lobaglio kill to make the set 21-15.
In the end, A&M rallied 4-2 after the timeout, taking the set 25-17.
THIRD SET (26-24, Texas A&M leads 2-1)
The Tigers came out strong, taking a 3-1 lead early in the third set. The Aggies responded, battling back to tie the score at 4-4. The rest of the set was tightly contested, with seven ties as the teams traded points. Missouri then strung together three straight to pull ahead 14-11, causing an Aggie timeout.
The back-and-forth battle continued as the Aggies tied it again at 15 apiece. From there, the set saw seven more ties, reaching a 24-24 deadlock.
The Tigers closed out the set with a Tyrah Ariail kill, securing a 26-24 win and sending the game into a fourth set.
FOURTH SET (25-8, Texas A&M wins 3-1)
The fourth set was a different beast as the Tigers opened up with a deficit – going down 6-1 early before a Missouri timeout.
Not much would change as the set went on, as the Aggies maintained their lead, winning the set 25-8 and ultimately winning the match 3-1.

Mizzou falls to 22-36 all-time against Texas A&M.

Head coach Dawn Sullivan is 48-26 with the Tigers, and has an overall record of 157-64 overall.
