Graveside Funeral services for Norma Jean Crisp, Age 87 of Mountain Grove, MO will take place on Friday, July 18th, 2025 at the Dutch Chapel Cemetery in Mountain Grove starting at 10AM.
Norma Jean (Hayes) Crisp was born December 31, 1937 at Embree, MO to Lela Hayes. She was raised by her grandparents, Willis and Viola Hayes and an aunt and uncle, Bessie Robinett and William Pad Hayes. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by her loved ones in her home.
Norma attended and graduated from Plato school. She then met the love of her life, Paul Crisp and they were married on November 6, 1959. They spent 65 years together. To this union four children were born, Willa, Jimmie, Joanna and Paula.
Norma was a hard worker and a great cook, she could sew anything. Norma worked at Brown Shoe Company, H.D. Lee and Autumn Oaks Nursing home until her health failed.
Norma has 10 grandchildren that she loved with everything she had; Jody, Cody, Jan, Justin, Jada, Kaylee, Zackery, Jess, Rob and Hesston; 16 great grandchildren, Ralee, Easton, Emma, Baylor, Devin, Justin JR, Jayla, Jazzy, Slade, Cade, Gracie, Lucas, Braelyn, Renley, Kahlor and Avyn and two great great grandchildren, Natalynn and Novalee.
Norma was a member of the Dawson Assembly of God Church until she could no longer attend. She enjoyed church, hymns, bible study and revivals there.
There are not enough words to describe how much Norma meant to her family and friends. To know her was to love her. She never met a stranger.
Norma was preceded in death by her mother, Lela Bender; four brothers, Dewey, Danny, Freddie JR and Butch; one sister, Christina; two grandsons, Jody and Zachery Crisp; one great great granddaughter, Natalynn Vincente and her son-in-law, Tommy Ice. She is survived by her husband, Paul Crisp; her daughters, Willa Page, Joanna Ice and Paula Burton and her son, Jimmie Crisp
