Rangers 8, Cardinals 1

The St. Louis Cardinals had just five hits during an 8-1 loss to the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field. Erick Fedde was charged with his fifth loss after allowing two runs on four hits in six innings, while Willson Contreras had an RBI in the losing effort. The Cardinals are in second place in the NL Central at 33-and-26. They host Kansas City tomorrow night.

Cardinals manager Oli Marmol did not believe that his team played well enough to win.
