The annual Greater West Plains Area Chamber of Commerce Caddyshack Classic Golf Tournament took place on Friday, May 1st. Players began Shot-Gun style at the West Plains Country Club to vie for raffle prizes, and a chance to make a hole in one shot for a ‘Mega Motorsports’ 2025 Spartan RZ-HD Zero Turn mower.
Golfers began the tournament with a ‘Burton Creek Rural Clinic/Davidson Insurance Powered by Inszone Insurance Services/Hirsch Feed & Farm Supply of West Plains/Ozarks Healthcare/Perennial Energy’ lunch. Everyone was able to warm up on the ‘West Plains Bank & Trust Company Driving Range AND Putting Green’ and enjoyed some tournament beverages compliments of Southern Bank. Water and soda were generously provided compliments of Ozarks Coca-Cola. Late afternoon appetizers were provided compliments of Central Trust Company and Jones Eye Center.
The winners of the ‘Butler Heating & Air Longest Drive Competition’ were Matt Wernsing and Mindy Trail. Ian Bergman and Taynia Kisner took the honors as the ‘Community First Banking Company’ Closest to the Pin’ champions. Dave Thomas and Whitney Mills cleaned up in the ‘J’s Razorback BBQ & Catering’ Longest Putt’ contest. There were no winners in the ‘Mega Motorsports Hole-In-One Contest. Grand Hole sponsors included: Adams Construction Company and Hardee’s of West Plains. The winning teams were:

The Annual Caddyshack Tournament fundraiser plays a vital role in supplementing member dues, helping to fund Chamber programs and seminars, enhance member benefits, support economic development initiatives, and foster community partnership events.
