The St. Louis Cardinals have dropped four of five since the All-Star break following an 8-4 loss to the Rockies at Coors Field yesterday. The Cardinals gave up six runs in the first three innings and trailed the rest of the way. Brendan Donovan had two hits and an RBI in the losing effort, while Erick Fedde was charged with his tenth loss after surrendering six runs on seven hits in three innings. St. Louis is tied for third place in the NL Central at 52-and-50. Andre Pallante starts for the Cardinals against Colorado this afternoon.
Fedde’s last win came on May 9th. Since then his record is 0-7 and he’s allowed 11 homers in 55 innings over that stretch. The Cardinals are also just 2-10 in games he has started during this stretch.
