The Royals recorded their fifth straight win with a 4-0 shutout of the New York Mets at Kauffman Stadium. Kansas City starter Cole Ragans earned his first win with the Royals after tossing eight strikeouts over six scoreless innings. Drew Waters went deep for the fifth time this season and Michael Massey drove in a pair of runs in the win.
